Sponsorship Approach

Nelson Airport exists to contribute to a sustainable and prosperous Nelson-Tasman. As part of this, we support a diverse range of community organisations, initiatives and events throughout the Nelson-Tasman region.

Our sponsorship approach is targeted towards eight pillars of regional wellbeing:

  • Arts and culture

  • Community

  • Economic development

  • Emergency

  • Environment

  • Innovation

  • Sport

  • Youth development

Sponsorship arrangements are reviewed annually. Multi-year agreements will be reviewed for effectiveness and value before being renewed.

Sponsorship may be one-off, of a short term nature or with a longer term strategic focus. Financial support is one form of sponsorship, while in-kind support can be provided on a case by case basis.

Sponsorship for the 2023 - 2024 financial year (1 July 2023 - 30 June 2024)

Nelson Airport’s sponsorship budget has been confirmed and commitments made to partner organisations for the 2023-2024 year.
